In the Greek myth Daedalus is a skilled craftsman who crafts wings of wax and feathers for himself and his son Icarus to escape imprisonment on Crete. Unfortunately, Icarus ignores his father’s warnings and flies too close to the Sun causing his wings to melt, resulting in his death.
