The Feral Foundry – Megaplankton
It is imperative to their mission and the safety of the world at large that we have not only a way
to communicate with our explorative creatures but a way of keeping track at the same time. It
was therefore key to the entire project, that the Plankton network be established.
The Plankton are minor Kraken Robots that are produced by splitting a single Shoggoth into an
entire horde of microbrains that can be then implanted into an entire swarm of Plankton
Exoskeletons. One spread far afield, this single mind can then relay information across massive
distances, enabling communication from the Feral Foundry in Otsworth, England, to send and
receive data and instruction from our most remote Kraken Robots.
The Megaplankton act as a sort of hub, linking one Plankton swarm to another and performing
basic maintenance when needed. Maternal relationships between the two forms have been
observed and encouraged.
